Tammie Woodson was raised in a Christian home by her grandparents. She learned very early the importance of knowing God and having a relationship with Him. As a Soldier for Christ, she has devoted much of time and energy helping people in all capacity and walks of life. At an early age she joined Hollywood Baptist Church and continued working faithfully in different ministries.

In her professional career Tammie provides counseling and education on health matters. Her career in the health profession encompasses 30 years. During this time she has worked throughout the state of Virginia providing counseling and guidance to community organizations as well as medical providers and local health departments.

In 1995, Tammie received a vision from God to do ministry that would expand areas greater than where she lived. She asked the Lord to guide her in the path which He commissioned Jesus to fulfill. She wanted to be transformed to become like Christ. She began to work in her community serving on various boards and organizations that directly impacted people in the community. She later was asked to join the Deacon Ministry at her church, in which she now serves as chair.

As God’s humbly servant Tammie was led by serendipity to Mississippi to work with the victims of Hurricane Katrina. This first mission trip awakened her passion to serve others not only physically but spiritually. In 2012, God called on her again to serve in Ethiopia to witness to women who were diagnosed with HIV. This mission was the gift of presence and allowed the women the opportunity to give testimony of their transformation.

God placed in her path an opportunity to expand her faith and His commission for her to journey beyond her community. Through much prayer and communing with God, she knew that it is her purpose to provide spiritual growth to those who are seeking Him and to connect them to a personal relationship with Christ. God has shaped her to serve and minister to His people. Tammie proudly and graciously serves as Chairperson of Evangelism by Grace International, Inc.
